Food styling is where food meets the camera.

I’m Sandra Barranco, a Barcelona-based food stylist and home economist with nearly 25 years of experience in the film and audiovisual industry.

My career in food styling has taken me through advertising, photography, television, series and film productions, working alongside brands, agencies, production companies, photographers, directors and creative teams.

Over the years, I’ve learned to move naturally between creativity and the real demands of a production. I like to understand the intention behind an image, work closely with the team and find solutions that allow the creative idea to reach camera without losing its essence.

I believe good food styling is as much about collaboration and problem-solving as it is about the final image. Every project brings a different creative challenge, and I enjoy being part of the process from the early stages through to the shoot itself.

Barcelona is my home base, but my work takes me wherever the project needs me, across Spain and beyond.

What I love about this work is the combination of creativity, precision and the unexpected things that happen on set. No two projects are ever quite the same — and that’s exactly what keeps it interesting.

Whether working on a major advertising campaign, a stills shoot, a television production or a film, my aim is always the same: to bring the food into the frame in a way that feels true to the creative vision.
